Staatsexamen, bis 1994 wissenschaftlicher Assistent am Institut für Musik- und Tanzpädagogik der Deutschen Sporthochschule Köln, danach Grundschullehrer in Rheinland-Pfalz und Lehrbeauftragter am Institut für Musik und ihre Didaktik der Universität zu Köln, 1996 Habilitation in Musikpädagogik, seit 1997 Professor für Schulische Musikpädagogik an der Universität Osnabrück.

Noll, Thomas, Dr., geb. 1962, Studium der Mathematik in Jena (Diplom in Zahlentheorie), Aufbaustudien in Komposition/Tonsatz an der Musikhochschule Dresden und in Semiotik an der Technischen Universität Berlin, Dissertation zum Thema „Morphologische Grundlagen der abendländischen Harmonik“ (1995), seit 1998 Leiter der wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchsgruppe KIT-MaMuTh zur Mathematischen Musiktheorie an der TU Berlin.

Palmer, John, Dr., is a composer and performer, and since 1995 Senior Lecturer in Composition at the University of Hertfordshire, England, where he is also Director of Research and Postgraduate Studies. He was a Music Lecturer at Oxford University until 1995 and is also a guest lecturer in various universities and conservatories in the UK and Europe. As a pianist, he graduated from the Musikhochschule at Lucerne, Switzerland. He undertook postgraduate studies in composition at Trinity College of Music, London, and at City University, London, where he completed a PhD Doctorate in Composition. He also studied with Jonathan Harvey, Edison Denisov and Vinko Globokar. As a performer of acoustic and electroacoustic music, he is regularly active as a soloist and in various electroacoustic ensembles. His music has been performed and broadcast worldwide, awarded with several international prizes in London, Tokyo, Bourges, Klagenfurt and Lucerne, and released on CD by the Bourges prize-winners vol. 8 compilation, France, Sargasso Records UK, and the Russian Electroshock Records label. He is currently preparing a TV programme on his music for the Russian Television and working on several lectures, commissions and concerts in Europe and North America.

Parry, Nye, works as an electro-acoustic composer whose recent work encompasses sound installation (Living Steam (see above), Boomtown-multi speaker installation, Oldham Art Gallery), contemporary dance scores (for Yael Flexer, Colin Poole, Charles Linehan) and multi media as well concert works (The Seasons, Grand Junction). His work has been broadcast and performed internationally. He teaches at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is completing his PhD at City University London.
